Azad Farsani (formerly known as Abbas Khosravi Farsani) is a researcher in philosophy and religion, he is a political activist who fighting for freedom and regime change in Iran. He was one of the earliest companions and supporters of the “Roshangarane Ghadesieh” movement, which was initiated by Shahrokh Shahid, a singer and founder of the Roshangarane Ghadesieh, and Homer Abramian, an Iranologist and Ferdowsi scholar.
Farsani holds a degree in Islamic theology with a specialization in philosophy and Islamic theology from Imam Sadegh University in Tehran. He also pursued a Ph.D. in Western philosophy at Isfahan University and was a philosophy professor at Payam Noor University until three months before completing his doctorate, when he was arrested and expelled from the university by the Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic.
After leaving Iran and living as a refugee in Turkey for three years, Azad Farsani has been residing in Michigan, USA, since 2015. He has authored the book “Noble Whispers; Criticizing of The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Regime and Its Leaders” in seven volumes and six thousand pages.
Azad Farsani has also appeared in various media outlets and television programs, engaging in critiques of religion, Islam, and the Quran. In his youth, he memorized 20 parts of the Quran, and in recent years, his programs titled “Recitation of Verses from the Vortex of the Quran” have caused controversy.
These programs continue in the “Roshangarane Ghadesieh” movement, where he focuses on the reinterpretation and translation of the Quran and enlightening discussions about it. He is the founder of the programs “Ma Barandazan” (We Regime Changers) and “Ma Mortadan” (We Apostates).
In the month of Khordad 1392 (May/June 2013), Azad Farsani, in an open letter to Ali Khamenei titled “Fear the brave people” wrote the following at the beginning of his book “Noble Whispers”:
“The path to the liberation of Iran and Iranians lies in the overthrow of the ‘Islamic Republic’ and the establishment of an enlightened government that defends awareness, freedom, democracy, and human rights. So far, all attempts and efforts to reform this regime have ended in failure, and from now on, any effort to reform this disorderly, corrupt, and deceptive system will only be a test of the tested, destined to be defeated, and a futile attempt to grind spices in a mortar and blow wind into a furnace…”
