Dr. Hossein Ladjevardi is a specialist in statistics and sociology, and the current founder and president of the “Association des Chercheurs Iraniens” (ACI) (Association of Iranian Researchers) . He was the executive director of the Population Growth Project in Iran from 1973 to 1976, under the supervision of the United Nations Development and Population Organization. He received his Ph.D. in sociology from the Sorbonne University in 1978.

According to his statement, the number of people killed in the year 1357 (according to the Iranian calendar) was 603 before the revolution and 155 after the revolution until the end of Esfand 57 (the last month in the Iranian calendar). Also, the population of Iran during the referendum in the year 1358 was 37,200,000, of which 18,732,000 were eligible to vote. The Ministry of Interior had received 30 million votes, which it reduced to 22,700,000 and announced that 20,400,000 people had voted for the Islamic Republic.
